Small Storage Sheds and Barns
Limestone Base
- Limestone base should be 12" larger than shed or storage shed or barn on four sides.
- Remove 3-4" of sod. 3. Fill back in with No. 8 or No. 57 limestone.
- Make sure entire area of limestone is level.
Patio Block Base
8"x16"x2" thick concrete patio blocks are placed underneath each skid a maximum of 6' on center.
Block / 4" x 4" Foundation
4x4"s are placed crossways underneath your storage shed or barn. 4x4" supported with solid concrete blocks on low side and dug into ground (as needed) on high side.
Large Sheds, Garages, and Barns
Post & Beam Foundation
Pressure/treated posts with 2x8" stringers for sloped applications.
Post & Rim Foundation
Pressure/treated posts 8' o.c. with 2x8" treated rim boards and 2x8" treated cap.
Block Foundation
Block foundation with frost protected footer and concrete floor.
